"No man in his right mind can watch a full football match."
Sean says he loves to have a little sleep on the settee when the football starts.
Gerry tells Sean he's having a wee lie down.
"Were you out anywhere last night?" Sean inquires. "Of course you couldn't have been out anywhere. You know I'm very fond of a wee lie down myself so you're a man after my own heart. But you know what I find recently? I like a wee doze on the settee. And I love dozing when the football starts. That's when I get comfortable. Because you can't watch a full football match. No man in his right mind can watch a full football match."
He explains that he falls asleep during the first half of the match, and even sleeps through entire matches.
"And recently," he adds, "I've found myself saying, should I go upstairs to my bed?
"No," Janet says. "Not good."
"Oh, I know! Many's the man went up the stairs and never came back down again!"
With music from Crispian St Peters, Manfred Mann, Barbara Dickson, Dr Hook, and more.
