Bob's live with a great programme of country music for you! Since March 2020 he's been doing the show at home but now he's back at Radio 2, ready with what he does best - live!
Bob returns live to Radio 2 for the first time in over a year with a great programme of country music for you, featuring exclusive music from Eric Church, Hailey Whitters and Lauren Housley, alongside the new song from Yola!
Ever since Radio 2's Festival of Country in March 2020 - pulled together at short notice to cover the Covid-related postponement of the Country 2 Country event - Bob has been recording his programmes at home in Oxfordshire, using a studio built under the apple tree in his back garden and a producer 75 miles away in the North Downs.
But now he's back in Radio 2 again and ready to get on with what he does best - live radio!
The veteran broadcaster - who celebrated his 75th birthday on April the 11th, his second in lockdown - is fully vaccinated and raring to go, albeit under socially distant conditions.
"I can't wait to walk through the doors of Wogan House again!" he says. "While it's been a year of fantastic programmes with the country family in the UK, the US and around the world pulling together under trying circumstances to make sure that we've been able to deliver amazing content to the Radio 2 listeners, there's still nothing quite like being able to talk to people live and direct. Bring it on!"
