Reverend Kate Bottley and Jason Mohammad explore the different ways we pray and how that makes us feel. We're used to thinking about prayer as something very still, but in this episode we hear stories of dance and adventure.
Nik Wallenda has 13 Guinness World Records. Known as 'King of the High Wire' in the US, there's not many iconic landmarks he hasn't walked across, thousands of feet up, without a harness. But TV viewers of his feats might be surprised to hear that as he walks the high-wire, he prays. He tells Kate how the act of prayer is a crucial, and inextricable, part of his extraordinary vocation.
Plus Jason finds out about Dances of Universal Peace, a movement that started with a Sufi teacher and zen master that is now performed in over 100 countries worldwide. Teacher Farzana explains to Jason how the communal dances are inspired by different spiritual traditions.
Plus why we should all get moving to feel better and connect to the world around us.
