How to measure your ears
Pawny, who is doing a sculpture, suggests an accurate way to measure the length of your ears to Sean.
"Coyle!" says Pawny, who has been thinking about measuring, "I'm making out a face here."
"OK," says Sean. "You're doing a bit of sculpture, right?"
"And did you know," says Pawny, "your pupils are at the half way mark from your chin to the top of your head?"
"Let's get our heads around that one," says Sean. "OK. Where is the top of your head?"
Katy (in studio) points to her fringe.
"That's not the top of your head, Katy," Sean says. "Sure if you were bald where would the top of your head be?"
Pawny adds, "And if you put your finger on the outside of your eyebrow and your thumb on the corner of your mouth, that is the size of your ears."
"But tell me," says Sean, "where is the top of your head?"
"Do you know that if you stretch your arm out in front of you," adds Kay, "the length from your elbow to your wrist is your shoe size?"
"Och, Kay," says Sean. "I've awful big feet!"
