Craig David, Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont
Craig David tells Zoe about his live online performance of his hit album Born To Do It. Plus John Richardson and Lucy Beaumont have news of the latest TV series.
Craig David, one of the UK's most successful recording artists, tells Zoe about the live online stream of his classic album 'Born To Do It.' The record has sold over 7.5 million copies worldwide, making it one of the biggest albums by a UK R&B artist. It debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, becoming the fastest-selling debut album ever by a British male solo act, and eventually being certified six times platinum. The album spawned four singles, including the UK number ones ‘Fill Me In’ and ‘7 Days’, and the successful ‘Walking Away’ and ‘Rendezvous’.
Jon Richardson and Lucy Beaumont, the comedians and writers, talk to Zoe about the latest series of 'Meet The Richardsons' on Dave. The show offers a fictional window into the funny and frustrated marriage of Jon and Lucy as they give viewers a glimpse of their life in Yorkshire. The new series centres on the further frustrations of married life, the clash of career and personal life and how Jon and Lucy have been coping since viewers last saw them, including dealing with life in lockdown, which Jon predicted of course. The pair said the idea for ‘Meet the Richardsons’ came about when they did Married to a Celebrity on Channel 4. They really enjoyed filming the series even though they argued on television, finding this quite relieving and natural. The producer, Lee Hupfield thought it would work as a sitcom and the pair trusted him to make it work.
