The Fratellis, Maggie O'Farrell and First Stage Studios in Leith
Janice Forsyth tunes into the best of Scottish arts, entertainment and music.
On Monday Janice will be joined by Jon Fratelli from The Fratellis to talk about the band’s latest album – HALF DRUNK UNDER A FULL MOON, fifteen years after their landmark debut Costello Music.
With First Stage Studios in Leith up and running on a new production for Amazon Prime, Brian Ferguson from The Scotsman and Belle Doyle from the Association of Film and Television Practitioners discuss the impact of this new facility for the capital and for freelancers across Scotland.
There’s another chance to hear Janice’s brilliant interview with novelist Maggie O’Farrell whose latest novel Hamnet has just been published in paperback and which has recently been given another award, this time from America - The National Book Critics Circle Award. Maggie joins only 4 British novelists who have won this prize in the past 20 years
And our Single of the Week is from Glasgow singer songwriter Rhona Stevens.
