Lawrence the Painter - "Good opener there..."
Graham, "If you're slapping on a bit of gloss, I reckon a bit of Simon and Garfunkel, Slip Sliding Away."
Sean, "I was down in the paint store today, and there were these people with white overalls, these painters, and you feel rather intimidated, and the man said, 'I haven't got your base'. I says, "What?" He says, "I'm out of your base number."
Sean, "I wondered what to say to him. What do you say to a man when he's talking in language that you do not know? So I pretended to know what he was talking about. I have to go back on Friday and get my base."
Charlie, "Buff colour is the colour to mix with your base."
Sean, "Sorry Charlie I don't know what you're talking about."
Gerry, "For a quick paint job, what about, 'Black is Black?'" by Gloss Bravas?
Harry, "There's more than one paint shop in Derry, there's one along the quay..."
Sean, "Yes, there is. But my wife said to me go down and ask for a refill, so I went down there, like when your mammy sends you for a message you have to do the message right!"
