And Andy Scott from Glam rock favourites Sweet is here for a chat and some tunes.

Along with Noddy Holder and the boys in Slade, Sweet were one of the most consistently successful British chart acts during the first half of the Seventies, with power pop anthems like Blockbuster!, Teenage Rampage, and Hell Raiser. Andy’s the last surviving member of the group, and he’s recently put together a new album ‘Isolation Boulevard’ that revisits many of those amazing hits, giving them a fresh new spin.He’ll be chatting about that project, forthcoming tour dates, and his memories of the band in their heyday.

Stephen Collett in Essex chooses a beautiful 1971 song from a Canadian singer-songwriter as the newest addition to Johnnie’s Jukebox.

They Week In Music celebrates birthdays for three very different music legends, one of whom is an electronic music pioneer, another a gospel star who gave us one of the biggest disco anthems of the era, and the other was a teen idol in the Sixties who then cemented his reputation a decade later with some of the catchiest pop songs of all time.
