For the very best in traditional music and song, join Gary Innes for Take the Floor. Our archive session this week is from Davie Stewart and his Scottish Dance Band recorded in 2016. And we mark the recent death of talented musician Robin Brock by sharing a 1977 session from Robin and his Band.
Robin spent a lifetime in Scottish music as a bass player, accordionist and broadcaster. He played with Corrie Folk Trio as well as with Jim Johnstone's Scottish Country Dance Band, and afterwards with Jim Macleod's Band, Jimmy Shand's band and of course his own band.
