At her Portaferry farm on the shores of Strangford lough, Olive Elliott tells Kim how smaller Christmas gatherings can provide a good chance to cook a more unusual Christmas lunch with duck or goose, and how to make what you do cook, go further.
Chef Sean Harrigan reflects on what has been a very tough year for the hospitality sector and cooks a Christmas dish for those on a budget, as well as serving up top tips on making the most of your leftovers.
At Kilkeel harbour, oyster farmer Andrew Rooney assesses the impending impact of Brexit on his business and suggests a few seafood dishes to add variety to your festive season, while vegetable farmer Andrew Herron shows Kim why no Christmas table is complete without the trusty sprout.
Kim also meets Christmas shoppers and traders at an outdoor market in Belfast to hear how they鈥檙e preparing for Christmas with a difference, and one local family tries their hand at making their own mince pies.
