Join Mark Stephen and Euan McIlwraith for the latest outdoor activities from Shetland to the Borders, plus the key stories for those who live and work in the countryside.

Mark finds out about the science of what happens to our body when we go cold water swimming and why it鈥檚 good for us.

Our midweek podcast this week looked at slavery derived wealth and land ownership in the Highlands and Islands. Mark and Euan were joined by Dr Andrew MacKillop and Dr Iain MacKinnon who carried out research into estates and their historic connections to slavery. We have an excerpt.

Robbie Armstrong heads to an orchard in Stirlingshire to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and see what fruit he can find.

As production starts at Scotland's first commercial gold mine, we hear live about the challenges of mining for gold and how it all works from Richard Gray from Scotgold.

Take The Floor and Your Requests presenter Gary Innes takes us for a walk around his new home village of Taynuilt. Gary and his family relocated after the Coronavirus made them reconsider their future plans. He tells us all about that and some facts about his new home.

Our archive piece comes from last year when Euan had some interesting visitors in the form of Whooper Swans.

This year marks the 250th anniversary of James Hogg's birth. Known as the Ettrick Shepherd, Hogg was a writer who was discovered by Sir Walter Scott and who鈥檚 influence is still felt today. We hear more live from Valentina Bold.

And Euan has another mystery bird for us. Can you guess what this one might be?
