Alun Wyn Jones: Lock of Ages
Teammates, coaches and opponents pay tribute to Alun Wyn Jones who became rugby's most capped international as he won his 149th cap against Scotland in the 6 Nations.
Most of us would give anything to represent Wales just once, but very few of us have what it takes. One man stands taller than most, in legacy and stature and last weekend became World rugby’s most capped player. Between Wales and the Lions he has competed at the very highest level 149 times, overtaking the iconic All Black Richie McCaw. There have been Grand Slams, series wins - and a few disappointments along the way, including Saturday’s defeat to Scotland - but you do wonder if we will ever see the likes of this second row from Swansea again. This is the story of Alun Wyn Jones, Wales’ very own ‘Lock of Ages’.
