Special Guest: Dave Hill from Slade
Your week would be incomplete without another great handpicked 鈥70s playlist from Johnnie.
It鈥檚 a packed show once more with a top guest reminiscing about that amazing decade.
Your week would be incomplete without another great handpicked 鈥70s playlist from Johnnie.
It鈥檚 a packed show once more with a top guest reminiscing about that amazing decade.
Dave Hill played guitar on all of Slade鈥檚 brilliant records, and when Glam took over at the start in the early 鈥70s, the band鈥檚 appearances on Top Of The Pops gave him the perfect excuse to dress up in outrageous clothes. He famously told his band mates Noddy Holder and Jim Lea, 鈥淵ou write 鈥榚m, and I鈥檒ll sell 鈥榚m鈥!
Now their definitive singles collection 'Cum On Feel The Hitz' has put them back inside the Top 10 on the album chart for the first time in 46 years, so Dave鈥檒l chat with Johnnie about some of the standout songs, plus he鈥檚 currently working to promote an amazing charity initiative called Hope After Stroke, something he experienced first hand on stage in Germany a decade ago.
A soul legend enters Johnnie鈥檚 Jukebox from the first time, thanks to listener Keith Bullock in County Durham.
This Week In Music features stories on Elton John, Bonnie Tyler, The Who and Robin Scott (alias 鈥楳鈥).
And Johnnie has more of your stories, dedications and song choices right across the show.
