Ulster-Scots words to inspire a photographic competition, the year as seen in a fisherman’s poetry, and talking about Dungannon’s Ulster-Scots history.
There’s news of a new photographic competition where Ulster-Scots words inspire each month’s theme - David Gilliland from the Ulster-Scots Community Network has the details. Willie Hill has been hearing from Rathfriland man Roy Ferguson whose poems capture the year as observed by a fisherman and the antics of a few men, a toolbox and a wee problem. Rab Lennox returns to Dungannon to hear more of the town’s Ulster-Scots heritage from Isaac Beattie – the guide at Ranfurly House. Helen Mark completes the team this week and as always, there’s banter and blether in abundance.
The Kintra team just love to hear from listeners who’ve a yarn to share, a favourite tune to request or an Ulster-Scots event to promote. Get in touch by email at kintra@bbc.co.uk .
