Controversial cult film-maker Alejandro Jodorowsky is almost as famous for a film he didn't make as he is for the films he did. The Chilean director pioneered a new type of cult movie with his psychedelic western El Topo, but it's his doomed attempt to make a version of Dune, starring Salvador Dali, that propelled him to legendary status.
