Mavis Staples talks about her friendship with Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Prince, Sister Mahalia Jackson and Martin Luther King. In this special programme Mavis describes her career as a gospel & soul singer and a civil rights activist. She shares her personal insights into those classic Stax recordings of the 1970's and her recent album recorded with Wilco's Jeff Tweedy.
