Peter Jackson with cricketer Roger Davis

Welsh cricketer Roger Davis says he鈥檚 lucky to be alive after a passing doctor saved him.

Roger Davis completed a remarkable hat-trick in the cause of Welsh cricket. He was the man who came closest to ruining Garfield Sobers鈥 history-making six sixes feat at Swansea. He helped guarantee Glamorgan鈥檚 unbeaten county Championship win in 1969. And in an age where helmets were unheard of, he was told he had 鈥渄ied鈥 after being hit on the head at point-blank range by a speeding cricket ball. Now he admits to Peter Jackson that a day doesn鈥檛 go by when he doesn鈥檛 wake up and consider he鈥檚 lucky to be alive.
