A-level results - could students from working class areas in NI see their grades downgraded unfairly?

Schoolchildren won't be sitting their A-levels this year because of Covid-19, but students will get their grades this Thursday.

Questions are being asked if how they are being worked out has a bias against working class children, who often do not get to go to a high-performing school.

The grades will be worked out based on the following: the previous year's A-level results, teachers predicted ranking and also the past performance of a school.

How is it fair that students who may happen to go to a school which in previous years did not perform well, may have their actual qualifications downgraded because of the past performance of their school?
