The government鈥檚 own advisors say ministers are missing their target to leave the environment in a better state than when they came to power ten years ago. The Natural Capital Committee says spending on the environment is 鈥榠nefficent and siloed鈥�. The committee chairman Professor Dieter Helm outlines what he believes needs to be done.

Pea farmers in East Yorkshire are taking part in trials to improve soil quality and reduce the impact of their crops on local water courses .
