'If I play that then the Joe Dolan fans will not be happy'

A request comes in for David Alexander's version of The Answer to Everything. Sean isn't sure if that's a good idea. Anyone remember Bert Fraser and his Pierrots in Donaghadee?

A request comes in for David Alexander's version of The Answer to Everything. Sean isn't sure if that's a good idea. Every time he plays someone else's version of a Joe song there's uproar.
David Alexander lived twelve miles from Gerry and Grace in Wales and he once told them that he turned down the song 'Solitaire' which Andy Williams then recorded.
John wonders if anyone remembers Bert Fraser and his Pierrots in Donaghadee. They used to entertain the crowd and then collect the money in a wooden box. Sean thinks that sounds like a great way to earn a living.
A Sonny and Cher record reminds Sean of the time he and Gerry Anderson went to interview Sonny Bono in Palm Springs. While the interview was happening Sean drank a cold beer under the watchful eye of a large Alsatian dog.
The Gate Man wants the show to carry on for another few years until he gets his fiver's worth. He once donated money to a petition last year to keep Sean on the radio.
Music from Bruce Springsteen, Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, Kenny Rogers and more.
