Alexander Tharaud is one of the star pianists of his generation. From a concert recorded at the Palau de la M煤sica Catalana, we'll hear music by Fran莽ois Couperin, Duphly and d'Anglebert in which his sense of characterisation and attention to detail really come to the fore. Tharaud is part of a long line of French pianists borrowing from the harpsichord oeuvre and proving that these pieces lose nothing in translation between instruments.
