Some of the facts and figures mentioned may have changed since the programme was first made, and a number of the interviewees are no longer with us, but the story – and the people who tell it – remain as fascinating as ever.
Broadcaster and Disney expert Brian Sibley co-presents with Walt's daughter, Diane Disney Miller.
This programme features exclusive interviews with voice artists: Adriana Caselotti (Snow White), Ilene Woods (Cinderella), Kathryn Beaumont (Alice In Wonderland), Ming Na Wen (Mulan), Jodi Benson (Ariel), Betty Lou Gerson (Cruella de Vil) and Paige O’Hara (Belle). There are also contributions from Walt's nephew, Roy E Disney, biographer Bob Thomas, veteran animators Ollie Johnston, Frank Thomas, John Hench, Marc Davis and storyman Joe Grant.
Disney designer Alice Davis also features along with songwriters Robert and Richard Sherman, architect Frank Gehry, and authors Robin Allan and Richard Holliss. And we hear from both Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Mary Poppins' legend Julie Andrews, Golden Girls' star Betty White, and Dame Angela Lansbury.
