Classical music to lift the spirits

Thirty minutes of uninterrupted music, with pieces by Bach and William Byrd plus some Welsh harp.

In tonight's Mixtape, Bach goes for the max with a glorious chorus with trumpets and drums, and there are delightful sounds from Domenico Scarlatti and from Gwenan Gibbard's Welsh harp to lift the spirits - but slow and meditative music can lift the spirits too, and we hear Elgar's moving Sospiri and a South African gospel chorus.
