Post Office IT scandal

Eye on Wales talks to three former sub-postmasters who say their lives as pillars of the community were wrecked by errors in the Post Office鈥檚 Horizon computer system.

Two were prosecuted and one was jailed after investigations based on the computer concluding that money was missing.

But a High Court judgment has ruled Horizon was "not remotely robust" and the Post Office鈥檚 assertions to the contrary were "institutional obstinacy".

The programme meets the man who began the sub-postmasters' fight back after the Post Office ended his contract when he would not accept the figures produced by Horizon.

And it hears how the battle to restore people's good name continues with calls for a judge-led public inquiry.

The Post Office settled the damages claim by 555 sub-postmasters out of court for聽almost for 拢58m but most of that will be swallowed up by the costs of bringing the case.

Around 拢11m will be left for the claimants to share but they say that is only a fraction of what they have lost.
