‘Symptoms are getting worse weekly’ - NI woman left waiting nearly 3 years for potential MS diagnosis.
We promised yesterday we would fight for our listener left waiting 3 years for an MS diagnosis .
We wanted to know why she wasn't being referred elsewhere in the UK or ROI.
The South Eastern Trust have told the Nolan Show because the treatment is available - albeit with a 3 year wait - the option to go else where in the UK is not an option.
Not true - says the Human Rights Commission - she may have a right under human right legislation.
The former head of the Health and Social Care Board has gone further - he says there is no way a 3 year wait is reasonable and she should seriously consider go elsewhere and send the bill to the Trust in NI.
Stephen heard from, former Head of the Health and Social Care Board John Compton, Chief Commissioner at the NI Human Rights Commission Les Allamby and David Galloway is the Northern Ireland Director from the M.S. Society .
