Why is it called a 'Sailor's Cup of Tea'?

Sean heard a new expression in the kitchen about a half cup of tea. America had a Johnny Nash day to mark his success and Sean thinks we should have a Charlie Nash Day.

Sean was in the Radio Foyle kitchen and heard a new expression about a half cup of tea.
In America there was a Johnny Nash day to mark his success. Sean thinks there should now be a Charlie Nash Day. Wee Tee says it should be on Boxing Day. Alan in Belfast thinks it should be on Nash Wednesday.
Lawrence The Painter wonders what Jackie in Derry is eating today from Sainsburys.
Iris says the moon that we have at the moment is the Wolf Moon. That reminds Ron in Belfast of Gerry Anderson talking about the local paper which had the headline 'Comet Over Derry'.
