Snow Patrol perform live in the Radio 2 Piano Room.
It's 25 years since a bunch of University of Dundee students got together to form Snow Patrol. Since then they've been nominated for six Brit Awards and have sold more than 16 million records. To mark this silver anniversary the band have been working on a project recording new songs and taking a fresh look at their classic hits such as Chasing Cars; Run, You're All I Have and Take Back the City. Their new album "Reworked - Reimagining the back catalogue and greatest hits" coincides with a UK tour throughout the autumn.
Kimberley Walsh, award-winning singer, model, television presenter and actress chooses her Tracks of My Years with music from Dean Martin and James Morrison with Nelly Furtado. Kimberley rose to fame in the early 2000's after she auditioned for the reality series 'Popstars: The Rivals' and won a place in the girl group 'Girls Aloud'. The group went on to achieve huge success, having twenty consecutive top ten singles including four number ones and six platinum selling studio albums. Whilst still producing music with ‘Girls Aloud’ Kimberley also started acting and presenting appearing in various films and television shows. In 2012 Kimberley was a runner up in ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ One’s Strictly Come Dancing; she also made her West End theatre debut, playing Princess Fiona in Shrek the Musical. Kimberley is now starring with ex-Wanted band member Jay McGuiness in the West End stage production of ‘Big the Musical’, based on the smash-hit film starring Tom Hanks.
Ken's got another round of the legendary PopMaster music quiz and your dedications with today's love song. There's also the record and album of the week.
