Aka 20-year-old Mikaela Straus, King Princess is has been described as "a Genderqueer Pop Icon" and is signed to Mark Ronson's Zelig Records label. Born and raised in New York, she was first approached with a record deal when she was just eleven. She released her debut single in 2018. Called 1950, it was inspired by one of her favourite books, The Price of Salt by Patricia Highsmith. It got her plenty of attention including from celebrity fans such as Harry Styles and Kim Kardashian. Since that breakthrough she's followed it up with the singles Cheap Queen and Prophet, as well as making her UK festival debut at Glastonbury in June.
