Amy Wadge picks her Tracks of My Years
Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter Amy Wadge selects her Tracks of My Years and Ken has another round of the PopMaster music quiz.
Amy Wadge, the Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter chooses her Tracks of My Years with songs from Kacey Musgraves and Elton John. Amy has co-written songs for established and emerging artists alike, amongst them: Keith Urban, James Blunt, Ella Henderson, Labrinth, Niall Horan, Jamie Lawson, Birdy and Dua Lipa. Recently Amy has written the music for the hit ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ One drama 'Keeping Faith' starring Eve Myles. Amy was honoured to have been asked and was sent the scripts which she then used to compose the music that would reflect the lead character's journey throughout the series. Each of the six songs are featured across the episodes and provide an emotional underscore that proved to make a powerful connection between the show's characters and viewers alike.
Amy’s most notable success to date comes from her long established writing partnership with, Ed Sheeran. Amy co-wrote Thinking Out Loud, which was the third single from Ed’s second album, the triple Grammy nominated X. It went to No. 1 in the UK chart in November 2014 after spending 19 weeks in the Top 40, breaking the record for the longest ever ascent to the peak position. To date, the track has sold over twelve million copies worldwide, has been viewed 1.25 billion time on YouTube and streamed over a billion times on Spotify. In February 2016, the track won two Grammys at the 58th Recording Academy Awards Ceremony, ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Best Pop Solo Performance’.
Ken's got another round of the legendary PopMaster music quiz and your dedications with today's love song. There's also the record and album of the week.
