Calum Maclean shares his passion for swimming in remote lochs and rivers. There is nothing that Calum loves better than finding far-flung locations for outdoor swimming, and he has made a personal wish-list of ten places he has always wanted to visit and swim in. One of the locations is Dunnet Beach on the north coast of mainland Scotland. This site offers three kilometres of golden sand, shelter from the wind and wonderful dunes. As Calum himself states: 'You feel you鈥檙e in an expansive open environment with the sea all to myself'.
While in the area, Calum challenges himself to swim between the iconic stacks of Duncansby. Can he swim from Peerie Stack to the larger Muckle Stack?
