Ana Johns joins Jo for the Radio 2 Book Club to discuss her novel The Woman In The White Kimono.

Oceans and decades apart, two women are inextricably bound by the secrets between them. Japan, 1957. Seventeen-year-old Naoko Nakamura鈥檚 prearranged marriage to the son of her father鈥檚 business associate would secure her family鈥檚 status in their traditional Japanese community, but Naoko has fallen for another man. America, present day. Tori Kovac, caring for her dying father, finds a letter containing a shocking revelation鈥攐ne that calls into question everything she understood about him, her family and herself.

Ana Johns studied broadcast journalism and worked over twenty-years in the creative arts field, as both a creative director and business owner before turning her hand to fiction. This is her debut novel.

Jo will also have another story of a special guest's Certain Romance - about a song that reminds them of falling in or out of love. This time it's the turn of Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol.

Plus Jo handpicks her favourite new music from all genres of the musical spectrum and quality vintage songs too. And whether you鈥檙e picking up or dropping off, Jo provides the soundtrack for the Taxi Service.
