Tenesha the Wordsmith in session and Alex Banks guest mix

Tom is joined in session by the Californian poet and producer Tenesha the Wordsmith, and shares a Guest Mix from Brighton-based producer Alex Banks.

Tom is joined in session by the poet and producer Tenesha the Wordsmith. With her love of poetry and music born out of her time in Oakland, California and the San Francisco Bay Area, Tenesha blends the two together to pay homage to where she has lived and grown up on the West Coast. Tenesha previously self-released an album back in 2016 entitled Body of Work. She recently released a single in collaboration with DJ Khalab on South London label On The Corner Records as part of the International Women鈥檚 Day release.

Following the session, Tom is joined by Buckinghamshire-born and Brighton-based producer Alex Banks in the mix. Following his 2012 remix of Bonobo's The Keeper, Alex has been rising to public prominence. This remix was followed by 2014's Illuminate LP, released on Modeselektor's Monkeytown Records label, and the acclaim just kept on rolling. His latest record, Beneath The Surface, was released last month on Mesh and has all the hallmarks of one of great albums of the year; good collaborators (脕sgeir), moody bass, and thumping percussion.
