Chef Angela Hartnett recalls her experiences of the 1970s.

Angela was born in Kent. Her father was in the Merchant Navy and her mother was of Welsh/Italian descent. Angela began her culinary career under the watchful eye of Gordon Ramsay. Her first TV appearance was on ITV1's 'Hell's Kitchen'.

In mid-2007, Hartnett published her first book "Cucina: Three Generations of Italian Family Cooking;". In August 2008 Hartnett launched Murano, a fine-dining Italian restaurant in Mayfair, which has been awarded one Michelin star and is the holder of 4 AA Rosettes. She has opened several more fine food establishments since then and made many TV appearances.

Currently, Angela is Chef Patron for Murano restaurant, Cafe Murano in St James's and Covent Garden, Cucina Angelina in Courchevel, France and joint owner of Merchant's Tavern in Shoreditch.
