Paul Merton recalls his experiences of the 1970s.

Paul Merton had just entered his teenage years at the dawn of the 1970s. Born in Parsons Green in London, Paul began performing at the Comedy Store in London in the early 1980s. One of the most recognisable comedy performers on British TV, Paul appeared in an episode of the Young Ones as a 'yokel' in 1984 but it wasn't until 1988 that he began to make his name on the small screen regularly, in 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' on Channel 4. In 1990 he began appearing on the 成人快手's 'Have I Got News For You?'. He's also well known on 成人快手 radio, with his regular appearances on 'Just a Minute' and 'I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue' on Radio 4.
Paul is about to embark on a UK tour with Paul Merton's Impro Chums. He still regularly performs at the Comedy Store in London.
