The former Labour Defence Minister Lord West says the soldiers filmed firing bullets at a poster of Jeremy Corbyn need a "kick up the backside". Lord West - who used to be head of the Navy - said soldiers sometimes do stupid things. The troops - members of the 3rd Battalion, the Parachute Regiment - shot holes in a large picture of the Labour leader using hard wax rounds. The incident happened on a military range in Afghanistan and came to light after it was posted on Snapchat. Brigadier Nick Perry said the Army is conducting a full investigation and described the soldiers' actions as a "serious error of judgment". Stephen got the views of commentator Martin Daubney and the former People Before Profit MLA Eamonn McCann.
Also on the programme, the DUP have called for greater leadership from Nationalists in Londonderry after a youth event in the city was cancelled after dissident republicans threatened a protest. Saoradh, which is a party representing dissident Republicans - opposed the presence of the PSNI. The club said it tried to discuss it with the dissident group, but in the end felt it had no option but to cancel. Stephen got reaction from Mark Lindsay - chairman of the Police Federation for Northern Ireland – and the views of SDLP MLA Dolores Kelly, former UKIP NI leader David McNarry and we heard from Paddy Gallagher, national press officer for Saoradh.
All that and more on the biggest show in the country.
