Bangor University and Friends of the Earth have found microplastic pollution in some of the most well known rivers and lakes in Britain -- including Llyn Cefni Reservoir on Anglesey and Afon Cegin, near Bangor. The study is believed to be the first of its kind and it听looked at 10 sites -- including听the Lake District, Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park -- and found microplastics in all of them.

Now, they say that a听hundred mile journey starts with a single step, but how about a听13,000 miles on horseback? That particular feat has been accomplished by Megan Knoyle Lewis, who claims to be the first person ever to have ridden around the world on a horse.听We've听been to meet the听retired teacher and Welsh pony breeder at her home near Pumpsaint in Carmarthenshire.
