BC Camplight aka Brian Christinzio is probably Manchester鈥檚 favourite adopted American.You could call him a singer songwriter. However while strictly accurate (he does write songs and sing them) that doesn鈥檛 really do justice to his mix of singer-songwriter classicism, synth-pop, and 鈥�50s rock鈥檔鈥檙oll - all of which you can hear in the show.

Born in New Jersey, but relocated to Philadelphia, Christinzio was a fixture in the Philly scene , playing piano for Sharon Van Etten, appearing live with War On Drugs (Robbie Bennett and David Hartley from the group were in the original BC live band) and releasing two acclaimed solo albums. He then relocated to Manchester, signed to acclaimed label Bella Union and effectively started again. It seems to be paying off . His second album for Bella Union, Deportation Blues was released in August 2018 to glorious reviews (it was renowned man of taste Marc Riley鈥檚 Album of the Year).
