Belfast Jazz Orchestra celebrates Christmas next Wednesday and Caroline Brown brings us a preview. Jean-Pierre Alessi was hooked on New Orleans Jazz when his brother introduced him to it. Now he leads his French Preservation New Orleans Jazz Band and enjoys a worldwide reputation as an authority on the great pioneers of the music.
