Sarah Walker with Palestrina, Elgar and a sonic memorial from Verdun, France
Sarah Walker with a broad range of music, the second of today's sonic memorials for Remembrance Day from Verdun in France, and the Two Minute Silence at 11.00am.
For Remembrance Sunday, Sarah Walker鈥檚 selection includes contemplative and reflective music from Hildegard of Bingen, Palestrina, William Henry Harris and Handel. As well as going live to the Cenotaph at 11am, for this special commemoration of the centenary of the armistice that ended World War One, there will also be a Remembrance Day Sonic Memorial, introduced by Allan Little. There鈥檚 also music from Elgar, Rachmaninov and Prokofiev and this week鈥檚 Sunday Escape of Mussorgsky鈥檚 prelude: Dawn over the Moscow River.
