Shona finds an old oak whisky barrel at social enterprise Glasgow Wood Recycling and takes it up to Inverness to husband and wife team Mairi and Tony Oakley, who have made a business making items from whisky barrels. Shona wants to see first hand how they go about making one of their biggest and most impressive items – the Adirondack chair.
Shona also uses etching cream and elastic bands to transform boring old wine bottles into lovely vases or light holders and makes pressed flower displays using frames she bought in a charity shop, some flowers she picked in the garden – and a microwave!
