Passing an Ulster-Scots family history to the next generation, remembering the Girona 430 years on, and in Banterbox, driving isn’t as straightforward as it was.

The Ulster-Scots magazine programme with Helen Mark and friends. Helen hears about one man’s delight in handing on his Ulster-Scots family history to the next generation – all the more important since he learnt he’s in the early stages of dementia. Jonnie Crawford goes to Portballintrae to hear about the Girona disaster of October 1588 and the project to help locals and tourists learn about the event. In good time for Halloween, Rab Lennox gets a lesson in scobin’ a turnip while in Banterbox, Carole Gilmore and Elaine McFeeters air their opinions on bus lanes and driving in Belfast.
