A planned sculpture to honour Derry's "Factory Girls" is shelved over spiralling costs. The Department for Communities says it "acknowledges that the decision not to proceed with the Factory Girl鈥檚 sculpture is disappointing. Given the passage of time, the cost of completing the project would now result in a total project cost of almost four times the original budget."
