Could Northern Ireland see a return to 50/50 police recruitment to increase the number of Catholic officers joining the force?
Could Northern Ireland see a return to 50/50 police recruitment to increase the number of Catholic officers joining the force? Seven years on after the practice ended and Catholic recruits have stalled at 30 per cent. 50/50 recruitment was, of course, used to correct an imbalance in the police which grew over the Troubles. But some unionist politicians criticised the practice as being discriminatory towards protestants. Stephen spoke to Dolores Kelly from the SDLP, TUV leader Jim Allister and Deputy Chief Constable Stephen Martin.
Also on the programme, 'Cosmopolitan' magazine has been criticised for featuring a plus-sized model on its front cover. The snap features 33-year-old American Tess Holliday. Holliday claims the message she sends is one of positivity. But critics say at 20st and 5ft 5inches, it sets a dangerous precedent. So - is this promoting a positive, realistic body image? Or glamorising obesity? Stephen got the views of size acceptance campaigner Kathryn Szrodecki and writer Emma Woolf.
All that and more on the biggest show in the country.
