Live from Salford's MediaCityUK, Conductor Jiri Rozen and the 成人快手 Philharmonic perform Martinu's final symphony, his 'Fantaisies symphoniques', and one of Dvorak鈥檚 most popular orchestral works, his Serenade for Strings. They are joined by Ashley Riches for Mahler鈥檚 youthful song cycle, the Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen (Songs of a Wayfarer).
After this, Rumon Gamba conducts the 成人快手 National Orchestra of Wales in Knight in Armour, the early tone poem of Ruth Gipps which was premiered at the Last Night of the Proms in 1942.
