Plans for 240 houses in Drumahoe are put on hold over flooding fears.

Plans for more than 240 houses at Drumahoe have been put on hold over flooding fears. It follows objections from more than 60 residents in The Beeches, who say the drainage system is inadequate. But local planners say they've consulted with the Loughs Agency and NI Water who have no objections to the plans by the company Braidwater. Yesterday, councillors at a planning meeting deferred a decision to approve the plans after they heard about residents' concerns. The developers have criticised the decision.
