Furious traders call for burnt-out building to be demolished
Furious traders in Belfast City Centre hit out at revelation cordon around burnt-out Primark building will be up for at least four months.
Do our best to preserve a piece of history or tear it down to avoid crushing local businesses? Traders are furious that the cordon around Belfast city centre's Primark store is likely to be in place for at least four months, after a major fire devastated the listed building. A blaze burned for three days at the retailer's flagship store in Bank Buildings. Fourteen businesses within the safety cordon are currently unable to trade. Some are now calling for the remains of the former bank buildings to be torn down. Stephen spoke to Lord Mayor Deirdre Hargey, and our reporter Nicola Weir was live in the city centre with business owners.
Also on the programme, a big day for the RHI Inquiry as former DUP minister Jonathan Bell starts to give his account into what went wrong with the burn to earn scheme. Newsletter political editor Sam McBride sets out what we can expect.
