The number of incidents is down, but the cost of rural crime has risen in Northern Ireland, and Devenish Nutrition is to open a new research facility in County Meath.
Rural crime cost Northern Ireland £2.6 million last year, an increase of around £100,000, but PSNI figures show the number of incidents is dropping each year. Our agriculture reporter Rebekah Logan has been finding out the true cost of crime for farmers.
