Nolan Show reveals waiting times for neurologist appointments in Belfast Trust

There are currently over 6,000 people waiting to see a neurologist in the Belfast Trust.

There are currently over six thousand people waiting to see a neurologist in the Belfast Trust - with the longest average waiting time for a new outpatient appointment for a routine, non-urgent appointment 23 months - that's nearly two years. The figure has come to light after 24-year-old Kerri-Ann Flanagan contacted the Nolan Show. She's been told she may have Multiple Sclerosis - but has been told she'll have to wait to see a neurologist before the diagnosis is confirmed. Kerri- Ann spoke to our reporter, Nicola Weir. We also got reaction from GP Dr George O'Neill, SDLP's Nichola Mallon and Alliance Party's Paula Bradshaw.

Also on the programme, the DUP leader Arlene Foster has backed Peter Robinson's border poll comments and strongly denied they were an attack on her leadership. Mr Robinson had accused unionists who caution against talking about a border poll of engaging in "claptrap" and "crass folly". But his former colleague Sammy Wilson said "his current analysis of what unionists should be doing is just plain wrong." What is going on with the party? Stephen spoke to the Newsletter's political editor Sam McBride, DUP MLA Jim Wells and commentator Tom Kelly.

And, a new opt-out system for organ donation will be in place by 2020 in England, if Parliament approves "Max's Law". Under the plans detailed by ministers, adults will be presumed to be organ donors unless they have specifically recorded their decision not to be. But what about here in Northern Ireland? Wales already has the system, Scotland looks like its heading that way - so will NI be the only place in the UK without? Stephen got the views of Claire Murphy - who's brother Ciaran died in July 2014 because he didn't receive a second lung transplant on time - and commentator Fionola Meredith.
