It is now almost two years since the UK - and Wales - voted to leave the EU. In a year's time, we will have officially left the EU, and Brexit will be one step closer to becoming a reality, though what Brexit will mean in practice is still not clear.

In tonight's edition of the The Hour debate show, presenter Catrin Nye asks: What is the best Brexit deal for Wales? And what do you want Wales to be like ten years after Brexit?

A lot has happened since the referendum's shock result - including a general election and a new prime minister - but sometimes it can feel like very little has happened. So far negotiations with the EU have delivered few concrete results, and public opinion does not appear to have changed much in any direction. The Hour debate explores below-the-surface conclusions of polls, to find out what Welsh people are really feeling about what lies ahead.

As the withdrawal negotiations reach crunch point, now is the time to ask how their outcome will affect Wales. The row over the Irish border - can customs checks be avoided? - will impact Wales directly. Seventy percent of Irish exports come through Welsh ports. And there will be other far-reaching effects on the Welsh economy and our communities. We have always relied on European funds and subsidies more than other parts of the UK - how will Wales cope when we can't access them? Will we get more money for the NHS as promised? It's clear that many people are happy to put up with a possibly negative impact on the economy and on their own finances in order to have the long-term boost they believe Brexit will deliver to national confidence and sovereignty .

The audience includes politicians, experts and ordinary people grappling with the issues, and we hear from some of the 80,000 EU nationals who currently live in Wales. Steffan Powell crunches the numbers and analyses the possible scenarios, as well as giving a flavour of what people have been saying on social media.
