The DUP say they invited Mr Corbyn to meet IRA victims. But the Labour Party say the invite came too late so the meeting won't go ahead. Edited since transmission.
The DUP say they invited Mr Corbyn to meet IRA victims. But the Labour Party say the invite came too late so the meeting won't go ahead. Mr Corbyn will also set out his vision for Brexit, he will call for the revival of the contentious British Irish Intergovernmental Conference to enable the UK and Irish governments to work together to save powersharing in Northern Ireland. And in a newspaper article yesterday Mr Corbyn's spokesman said a combined majority throughout the north and south want a United Ireland. NI Labour's Phil Kelly, DUP MLA Jim Wells and commentator Malachi O'Doherty discuss.
Also on the programme, one listener says she's angry at the way her brother's patient recall appointment has been handled by the Belfast Trust, saying it's adding to the family's anxiety. More than 3,000 neurology patients in NI, including children, are being recalled for a review amid concerns some may have been misdiagnosed by Dr Michael Watt. Letters were sent out to the patients following a year-long independent investigation by the Royal College of Physicians.
Plus, Strictly Come Dancing, where celebs and their dance partners try to get their hands on the glitterball trophy. But how would you feel about same-sex couples dancing together? Head judge Shirly Ballas is all for it saying "...if they were to do that I would embrace it. Whatever choices people make I'll be fine with." Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant John Sergeant said this week he was "not keen" on the idea. BUT would you have a problem...? With us, commentators Lynette Burrows and Fionola Meredith.
And, we speak to listener Sinead, whose tumble dryer caught fire, destroying her kitchen, and her struggle to get properly compensated.
